- Is there a setup fee?
No. There are no setup fees on any of our plans.
- Can I use my own domain name?
Yes. You use an existing one that you own. We also provide a free openunit.com domain name to all facilities on sign up.
- Do I need a web host?
OpenUnit includes secure, unlimited ecommerce hosting on all plans. You can also use the Rent Now Button to add Online Rentals to any of your existing websites.
- How long are your contracts?
All OpenUnit plans are month to month unless you sign up for an annual or biennial plan.
- Can I change my plan later on?
Absolutely! You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time.
- Can I cancel my account at any time?
Yes. If you ever decide that OpenUnit isn’t the best management platform for your facilities, simply cancel your account.
- Can I use a POS if I have multiple cash registers in use at my facilities?
Yes. You can install OpenUnit POS on multiple devices, and you won’t be charged any extra. Facility activity on all devices is synchronized with your OpenUnit admin.
- Is OpenUnit PCI Compliant or PCI Certified?
Yes. OpenUnit is certified Level 1 PCI DSS compliant. This means all your data and customer information is ultra secure.
- Are there any transaction fees?
Every credit card transaction payment you take for online rentals or automated billing is processed at 2.9% + 30¢.
- Can I use a third party payment provider with OpenUnit
No, OpenUnit does not support third party payment providers at the current time.
- Where can I buy a cash register, receipt printer, and other hardware?
You can buy hardware kits and individual items of supported hardware from the OpenUnit Shop in Canada, and the continental United States.
